Esprit de Corpse

I'm very excited to announce that Esprit de Corpse was contracted to eSpec Books, which is a fabulous publishing house run by Dani McPhail and her husband Mike, whom I've known for at least 20 years, ever since my first PhilCon. She's a fabulous editor, and I am thrilled to be part of the eSpec stable of fantastic authors.

Inquiring minds want to know?

Esprit de Corpse

 It's 1843.

The brand new Paris-Orléans Chemin-de-Fer is on its way to the Loire Valley.

Suddenly, the train lurches to a halt. Clanking away on the tracks is an automaton powered not by steam, but by a ghost.

Quel horreur!

Jacqueline Duval, a brilliant young engineer, and her twin sister Angélique, a shapeshifting wolf, are swiftly caught up in the sinister plans of Count Draganov Dragul to use the skulls of the Paris Catacombs to animate a clockwork army.

Ghosts, revenants, necromancy, and a dash of French romance. You know you want to read it!

Stay tuned to this blog for more.
